Although the figures do change year by year, on average 95 pence of every pound donated to UMODZI goes directly to Malawi. With the remaining funds, we raise awareness of the plight of orphans in Malawi and network on their behalf and raise more money!

All money is sent by direct bank transfer to the school's account where the orphans attend (no government, no middle man). Receipts and a final report on the use of funds are required.

At some point various members of UMODZI will travel to Malawi on holiday. That person will also visit the orphans & their school where possible. They will also look in-depth at the child's academic progress and their school reports. They will then report back to the other Trustees of UMODZI on their return.

UMODZI's funding comes from a variety of sources, and again this grows more varied each year as we grow. The chart shows where our funding has come from since 2002.
